There are two possibilities for visiting Vallauris: the first is as a tourist who is at risk of returning home with a piece of pottery that they think to be authentic, but who soon discover that it is “made in China”. The second possibility is to go with our own potter Tino. First step: the Picasso museum to get into the spirit of the master painter. Second step: Tino’s pottery workshop, where they are not just passive observers. Tino give’s an introductory course for beginners. That’s the kind of excursion we like: one in which the students are the actors.
