Our Mimosa tree was a victim of hash weather near the end of December.
We had planted it more than twenty years ago and during the first few years we protected it from the winter storms with a plastic covering. We had seen it grow strong and become a splendid gem of our terrace during the early months of the year.
During the winter holiday, the storm got the best of it. One morning we had found it lying on its side, battered by the wind, cut clean at its roots.
A sad sight… Just when it was about to deliver us its “rhapsody in ‘Yellow’” for which it had already prepared the first notes.
From this point on there will be great void… and not only on the terrace.
