Only six weeks to fully renovate the first floor wing “Péguy 1”… A real challenge.
Around mid-December, work began on the renovation project for all of the first floor wing, “Péguy 1”, which constitutes the hallway and eighteen rooms just above the dining hall.
Moving, construction and destruction was done on the existing building, a work which included new electric installation, new flooring, new curfew doors and insulation. In mid January the wing remains a veritable construction site.
The crew is yet hard at work to finish the task. It must be done quickly, and there is yet the painting to finish, the installation of new furnishings, and of course the preparation of the rooms. The first group that will occupy this newly done wing is scheduled for February first.
