Marie Jo
As with Anny two months ago, it’s Marie-Jo’s turn to retire. And like Anny, Marie-Jo has been working at the Collège since it moved into the current location in 1981. And if the two made an inseparable duo, this is not only for “historic” reasons. Between the two of them is a friendship that one could not possibly break, which would explain Anny’s presence at her farewell get-together, just two months after her own. |

Marie-Jo’s territory was the laundry room. It was not an easy job, especially when she found herself slaving away in front of a monstrosity of a machine for ironing the sheets. When it died, Marie-Jo had no regrets. For several years she shared her time working in the laundry room and the dining room. Other than serving she also took care of the decoration during the themes diners… as well as some costumes for theater plays at the Collège. Her mark was the little esthetic "extra".

Marie-Jo had a nearly physical link to the school, and during her last days, in despite of the enormous tasks she accomplished here, despite her the impending relaxation to come (notably a trip to Austria), she cannot hold back a few tears of regret. |
